Textile printing and personalised gifts
By the time the occasion arrives, the budget has already been spent.
The goal is for the advertising to run on the calendar of occasions and the delivery deadline — without an evenly spread monthly budget. The mechanism is “the countdown to the occasion”.
Request a quoteWhy standard advertising fails with personalised goods
Demand is concentrated in a few weeks around the occasion, and reporting blurs it across the whole month.
01
The peak does not wait for the budget
Textiles sell around Christmas, for graduates and for group occasions; mugs and canvas prints around St Valentine’s Day and name days. An even daily budget spends the most outside these windows and is used up inside them.
02
A personalised item has no fixed look
The product only gets its final form after the customer uploads a photo and chooses an inscription. The catalogue wants a fixed item with a price — so the variants fail the check or are shown with no meaning for the buyer.
03
One person orders for the whole class
The class T-shirts, the hen party and the company order come in as a single enquiry with many units. For the account that is one row, the same as a single mug — and the group is lost exactly where the profit is.
The mechanism
The countdown to the occasion
First I fix the dates of the occasions and the last order day, and then I set the budget, the message and the audience around them.
- The calendar and the deadline come firstI arrange the occasions by date and fix the last order day before each of them. The audience is built weeks earlier, because before the occasion every seller bids and traffic gets more expensive.
- Order intake is raised before the budgetWith a single unit, there is almost no room for advertising between cost price, printing and delivery. That is why I arrange the bundles and the free-delivery threshold before I increase the budget.
- The group order has its own pathThe organiser of the class, hen party or company order gets a separate message and a separate form. These enquiries are measured separately from single orders.
- The message is part of the checkoutWith personalised goods the conversation often comes before the order — the customer sends a photo and asks about size. That is why message campaigns work too, and the enquiry is set up as a measurable event.

The first step
Audit within 7 working days
First the account, the product catalogue, the website and the tracking are reviewed. Where data is lost and where money is lost.
- You receive a PDF and an online meetingThe findings and recommendations presented in person, not an automatic report from a tool.
- Conclusions in days, not monthsThe findings are ready within the audit period, not after a quarter.
- The value is deducted in fullIf the work continues, the full value of the audit is deducted from the contract price, with a minimum term of three months. This applies if the contract is signed within 30 days of the audit.
- All I ask of you is read accessThe ad accounts and the website remain yours. Nothing changes without your decision.
Which channel for what
| Meta | What is sold here is the reaction of the person receiving the gift. Meta builds the audience before the occasion and brings in enquiries through messages, where the customer sends a photo. |
|---|---|
| Google Search and Shopping | Here the search is already worded: T-shirt printing, a canvas print from a photo, a mug with a photo, engraving on glass and metal, company gifts with a logo. Behind each one are an occasion and a deadline, and the suppliers are read side by side on a single screen. |
| Remarketing | Personalisation often stays unfinished — a person uploads a photo, closes the page and comes back in the evening from another device. Remarketing puts exactly their mock-up back in front of them while the order deadline still holds. |
When I am not the right choice
- If you do not know how many units a day you turn out at full load and what the last day with guaranteed courier delivery is. Without those two numbers the countdown is a guess, and a late delivery before an occasion is paid for with a complaint and a lost customer.
- If you work with an external printer whose deadline you do not control. The countdown depends on their calendar, and a delay before an occasion is paid for in your name, not theirs.
- If the mock-up is approved by one person between two orders. With personalised goods, slow approval eats the deadline and the order drops out with it.
I work personally on every account, so for the months around Christmas, 8 March and the graduation season, the free slots for new clients are taken earliest — these periods are scheduled in advance.
